The Stavropol city administration provides international and interregional cooperation with the municipalities of Russian and foreign cities, international, All-Russian and regional associations of municipalities in the interests of the city of Stavropol population, in order to create a favorable life environment, as well as creating a positive image of the city of Stavropol as an attractive partner in investing activities .
These areas of the Stavropol city local authority activities are assigned to the International and Interregional Relations Department of the Economic development committee of the Stavropol city administration.
The Department activities are carried out in accordance with the Regulations on the International and Interregional Relations Department of the Economic development committee of the Stavropol city administration, approved by the decree of the head of the city of Stavropol and are regulated by federal law and the Charter of the city of Stavropol.
The main tasks of the Department are:
- Planning and organization of inter-municipal cooperation of the Stavropol city administration with municipalities of foreign and Russian cities and towns;
- Working out agreements, long-term plans, programs of the Stavropol city administration in the field of international and interregional cooperation;
- Cooperation with international, All-Russian, regional municipal units associations. The implementation of joint programs and projects. Organization of the Stavropol city administration representatives participation in forums, meetings, conferences and seminars;
- Organization of visits of the Stavropol city administration official delegations in the cities of CIS, foreign countries and regions of Russia;
- Elaboration and implementation of programs of foreign and Russian official delegations visits in the city of Stavropol;
- Monitoring of the positive experience of the cities of European countries and regions of Russia ;
- Coordination of the Stavropol city administration structural (functional) units activities in cooperation with foreign partners, programs and plans of cooperation with the twin-cities of foreign countries realization;
- Implementation of working contacts with embassies, consulates and official representative offices of foreign countries;
- Ensuring of the Stavropol city administration correspondence with foreign partners, translation of information materials and official correspondence of international municipal units associations and cities of foreign countries in Russian.
